We're currently accepting submissions for our fourth print issue on Romance

What does Romance mean in literature? We've seen it discussed so many times before, and yet, in English language literature, Black, Asian, and marginalised community characters are so often relegated to supporting characters. Where they are written, it is often in mixed-race romances, fetishised, exoticised.

For the ROMANCE issue, we want you to explore these themes in literature. We accept:
Book reviews - up to 1,000 words (min 700)
Literature essays - up to 1,500 words (min 1,000)
Short stories - up to 1,500 words (no min)
Poems - no word count

Submissions are open to Black, Asian, anyone else from a marginalised community, from across the globe. Please submit via the form linked below - if you have any questions, please do contact Amy the editor at badformeditor@gmail.com

We cannot currently pay for submissions as we are volunteer-lead. Thank you for understanding!
